About Jeffrey Hart

A native Long Islander, Jeffrey Hart, DO, graduated magna cum laude from Quinnipiac University in 2004 and received his Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Maintaining his New York roots, Dr. Hart completed his orthopedic surgical residency at North Shore/LIJ Plainview Hospital, where he was Chief Resident. He completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee at The Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa, Florida. At OALI, Dr. Hart focuses on issues with hips, knees, and shoulders and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for his patients in a comprehensive and compassionate nature. He specializes in total hip replacements, partial and total knee replacements, and minimally invasive, muscle sparing techniques utilizing advanced computer and robotic-assisted surgery, including MAKOplasty Robotic partial knee replacement. His surgical expertise also extends to shoulder and knee arthroscopy for soft-tissue and ligament injuries as well as fracture care management and trauma surgery. Alongside Dr. Douglas Petraco, director of Orthopedics for St. Charles Hospital, Dr. Hart performed the hospital’s first ambulatory total hip replacement. Dr. Hart is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, New York State Osteopathic Medical Association, American Medical Association, and the American Osteopathic Association
