Andrew Blank, MD, specializes in treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions at Digestive Disease Care. As a fellowship-trained hepatologist and gastroenterologist, Dr. Blank provides the highest quality diagnostic care and customized treatment services to patients in and around the Long Island Community of East Setauket, New York. After completing his bachelor’s degree in biology at State University of New York (SUNY) in Binghamton, Dr. Blank went on to earn his medical degree from the Upstate Medical University College of Medicine in Syracuse, New York. He completed his fellowship training in New York City, studying gastroenterology at Lenox Hill Hospital and hepatology at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Blank completed additional training in advanced biliary endoscopy at Aarhus University Hospital in Aarhus, Denmark, and endoscopic ultrasound at Manhattan’s New York-Presbyterian Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is an active member of the American Board of Internal Medicine. In addition to serving his patients, Dr. Blank is an assistant professor of clinical medicine at Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University (VP&S) in New York City and a lecturer on gastrointestinal and liver diseases to second-year medical students. He also is an attending physician at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. He has authored several articles on the treatment of Crohn’s disease, pancreatitis, and other digestive disorders published in peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Blank is dedicated to providing world-class medical care to those with acute and long-term gastrointestinal conditions. He emphasizes preventive care to lower the risk of developing digestive diseases.
